The El Dorado 8YO is a blend of various rums, all distilled by Demerara Distillers in Guyana and aged for at least eight years.

Ingredients

45mlEl Dorado Rum 8YO
15mlAlmond syrup
15mlTriple Sec
30mlFresh lime juice
10mlSugar syrup (1:1)
Mint leaves
Lime slice

Preparation

  1. Fill a shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Add the rum, almond syrup, triple sec, lime juice, and sugar syrup.
  3. Shake well until everything is chilled.
  4. Pour the cocktail over fresh ice in a glass.
  5. Garnish with mint, a slice of lime, and optionally a cherry.
