Cod lives close to the seabed at depths of 20 to 600 meters. The fish has an average length of 80 to 90 centimeters and can live up to 25 years. The flesh has a beautiful bright white color, contains few bones, and has a loose texture with large flakes. Cod feeds on small crustaceans, shrimp, fish, and mussels, and you can taste this in the fish meat. Cod has a delicate flavor and can be combined in endless ways.
