Black Ranch Marabu is made from the hardwood tree Marabu. The Marabu wood grows in Cuba. Here it is seen as a kind of weed, because the tree multiplies quickly and causes native species to disappear. Cutting down this tree is therefore necessary to give native plants and trees the space to develop.
The Marabu is characterized by its large thorns and hard and dense structure. As a result, the coals have a long and high heat yield. Marabu ignites with little smoke and splatters less. This makes this charcoal very suitable for open grills. Thanks to the smaller sorting, the product can also be used for all kinds of charcoal barbecues.
