Bouchot mussels are pole-cultured mussels and are farmed in Le Crotoy or Baie Mont St. Michel. The bouchot mussel owes its name to the poles on which the mussels grow. These mussels are smaller than Zeeland mussels. They are very flavourful mussels and are packed with meat.
