The origin of Camarena Tequila is in the highlands around Arandas, Mexico, where the Camarena family has been producing tequila since 1761. In honor of the iconic village clock, which has brought people together for centuries, the bottle was given its distinctive shape. Camarena Reposado is aged for 60 days in Tennessee whiskey barrels, combining the natural sweetness of agave with soft notes of vanilla and caramel. This reposado provides a powerful yet exceptionally smooth base for tequila cocktails. Reposado tequila is a unique style that rests on oak to develop its characteristic golden-yellow color. Because the tequila is allowed to 'rest' (the literal translation of reposado), it becomes milder, rounder, and pleasantly sweet in character.
