Umibo budo seaweed is cultivated on the sunny islands of Okinawa. This seaweed is also known as 'green caviar'. The seaweed bursts open when eaten, like caviar. The seaweed tastes fresh and salty. A tasty component of an appetizer with a little bit of vinegar or soy sauce, but also delicious with rice or on bread with butter. Before serving, pop it in clean, cold water.
