Apple baked in kataifi

Sweet dessert with apple, almond paste, and kataifi pastry.

Ingredients

1small hand apple
kataifi dough
Cinnamon powder
Butter
Jagertee
Almond paste

Preparation

  1. Peel the apple and remove the core.
  2. Bring Jagertee with a bit of cinnamon powder to a boil and gently cook the apple in it. Let it cool in the liquid.
  3. Let the kataifi dough thaw and pull it apart.
  4. Melt butter with a little cinnamon powder and brush the dough well with it.
  5. Remove the apple from the liquid, fill with almond paste, and roll in the kataifi dough.
  6. Bake at 180°C until crispy and hot (about 8 minutes).
  7. Serve with vanilla ice cream as a dessert.
  8. Tip: you can prepare the apples mise-en-place, so you only need to bake them before serving.
