The Chalo Iced Chais are a refreshing alternative to iced teas and are made with a base of jaggery, a 100% natural and unrefined cane sugar. Deliciously sweet and based on natural flavors straight from the fruit. The Chalo Iced Chais are available in three flavors: lemon, blueberry, and strawberry.
Ingredients
0.25cup sugar
1cup of water
0.5cup fresh blueberries
1cup packaged fresh basil
Zest of a lemon
2scoops Blueberry Iced Chai
120mltequila
60mlCointreau
120mlBlueberry Basil Simple Syrup
freshly squeezed juice of 2 limes
Preparation
- In a pan, stir all ingredients together over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Lower the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes until it has thickened slightly.
- Pour the contents through a sieve into a bowl and press the blueberries and basil against the sieve to release all the juices. Discard the solids.
- Let cool to room temperature, pour into an airtight container, and store in the refrigerator.
- Gather all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously and then pour into glasses filled with ice.
- Garnish, serve, and enjoy!
