Ingredients
260gcorn grits
240mlMilk
2Sugar
1Salt
1Baking soda
1Whole egg
hotdogs
wooden skewers
croutonspaneer: croutons
noodle breading: noodle cracker, crushed
panko breading: panko
sauce topping: gochujang
sauce topping: honey
sauce topping: ketchup
sauce topping: sesame oil
powdered sugar topping: powdered sugar
honey-mustard topping: honey-mustard sauce
honey-mustard topping: sesame ume
Preparation
- Mix the egg, milk, and sugar and set aside.
- Mix cornmeal, salt, and baking powder.
- Combine the egg mixture with the cornmeal, salt, and baking powder mixture to make a smooth batter.
- Skewer the hotdogs and dip them in the batter.
- Rotate the skewer well to cover the entire hotdog with a thin layer of batter.
- Roll the hotdogs in the desired coating (croutons, noodle panko) or fry with just the batter layer for a 'natural flavor'.
- Fry the corn dogs for about 4 minutes at 180°C.
- Mix all ingredients into a sauce and top a corn dog with it.
- Top a corn dog with honey mustard and ume sesame seeds.
- Top a corn dog with powdered sugar.
