Strawberry jam

Making jam is an ideal way to preserve your summer fruit.

Ingredients

32gPectin
660gGranulated sugar
1kgStrawberries
25gCitric acid

Preparation

  1. Wash the strawberries and gently pat them dry with a clean cloth.
  2. Remove the stems from the strawberries and cut the large strawberries in half.
  3. Put the fruit together with the sugar and pectin in a pan, slowly heat the mixture to 105°C.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and add the citric acid (and optionally flavorings such as fresh mint).
  5. Fill the jars with jam.
