Lentil Soup

Blending this Turkish lentil soup gives it a nice, rich texture.We make it playful by placing a breadstick on the edge of the plate and topping it with, among other things, salty yogurt.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Bring the water to a boil and add the stock when the water is boiling.
  2. Simmer for about 8 minutes and add the lentils in the last 2 minutes.
  3. Blend the stock with a blender or immersion blender and bake the breadstick in the meantime.
  4. Add the juice of half a lemon.
  5. Mix a spoonful of yogurt with salt (to taste), pepper, and za'atar and put it in a piping bag.
  6. Garnish the breadstick with the salty yogurt and, for example, dried chickpeas.
  7. Add a spoonful of salty yogurt to the soup with a spoonful of lentils.
