Casserole of chicken thighs in a garlic-cheese sauce

Casserole of chicken thighs in a garlic cheese sauce made with ERU Cheese Spread Gouda.

Ingredients

45gERU Cheese Spread Gouda
200gChicken thigh fillet
35mlCooking cream
20mlOlive oil
2Garlic cloves
Half red bell pepper
5units.itemsChestnut mushrooms
30gBacon strips
10gFresh rosemary
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Wash the bell pepper and cut into large pieces.
  3. Clean the chestnut mushrooms and slice them.
  4. Halve the chicken thighs and rub them with salt and pepper.
  5. Peel the garlic and press it.
  6. Finely chop the rosemary.
  7. Put the cooking cream in an oven dish with the garlic and the ERU Cheese Spread Gouda, mix with the olive oil and stir until you have a smooth sauce.
  8. Sear the chicken thighs in a little olive oil in a frying pan until golden brown, then place the chicken thighs in the garlic cheese sauce.
  9. Add the mushrooms, bell pepper, rosemary, and bacon bits and toss. Add extra pepper if desired.
  10. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 20 minutes in the oven, until the chicken is nicely cooked. Remove the foil and serve immediately.
