Ingredients

Hot dog warmer (HANOS Shop Only)
cheese fondue
Caquelon or fondue pot
Demi baguettes
White wine
Cornichons
crispy bacon
Alpenschinken
Chives

Preparation

Tip: We use a hot dog warmer, but to keep the cheese fondue warm and melted and the baguettes nicely at temperature.

  1. Fill the hot dog warmer with a little water and set it to 90°C.
  2. Place a fondue pot or caquelon on the warming plate.
  3. Put the cheese fondue in the pot and add a splash of white wine.
  4. Heat and stir well from time to time.
  5. Bake the demi baguettes at 200°C.
  6. Cut off the top and press the rolls onto the warm 'pins' of the device, so they are evenly hollowed out.
  7. Spoon some warm cheese fondue into the baguette and then add crispy bacon, finely chopped cornichons, and sliced smoked Alpine ham.
  8. Repeat the layers of cheese fondue and ingredients, finish with cheese fondue, and garnish with finely chopped chives.
