Bifteki

Bifteki means minced meat burger, often filled with feta and seasoned with spices such as cumin, chili, and garlic.Chef's tip: Use half-and-half minced meat for a juicy bite and let the spices infuse overnight.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Mix the minced meat with garlic, cumin, chili, egg yolks, breadcrumbs, chopped red onion, and parsley.
  2. Form balls of the desired weight and size. We make balls of about 100 grams and fill them with about 10 grams of feta.
  3. Flatten the ball and place the feta in the center, fold the meat over and press together.
  4. Grill the bifteki on the barbecue at 200°C for about 4 minutes.
  5. Serve with, among other things, lettuce, grilled tomato, kalamata olives, and fresh tzatziki.
