
Triple toastie country bread
Country bread topped with ham, young cheese, aged cheese, tomato, and red onion.A toasted sandwich that feels quintessentially Dutch. Preparation
- Start with a thick slice of bread, spread it with butter, and turn it over.
- Layer on, in order: 1 slice of young cheese, 2 slices of tomato, 2 slices of ham, 1 slice of aged cheese, and half of the onion.
- Place another slice of bread on top.
- Repeat step 2.
- Take the last slice of bread, spread one side with butter, and place it butter-side up on the toastie.
- Grill the toastie in the pan until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Place something heavy on the sandwich to press the toastie.
