With the Grill Fanatics Half Moon Plate Setter you can easily create an indirect heat zone in your large kamado barbecue. The half heat deflector blocks the direct heat from the charcoal, allowing food to cook slowly and evenly. Ideal for slow cooking, smoking and preparing larger cuts of meat.
The plate setter is made from heat-resistant cordierite, a material that distributes heat efficiently and withstands high temperatures. Its half-moon shape makes it possible to create a two-zone setup, allowing you to grill both directly and indirectly at the same time.
The dimensions are designed to fit many common large kamado barbecues. For full indirect cooking you can combine two half plate setters to create a complete heat deflector. One half plate setter is included in the package.
