This Chardonnay from Coonawarra comes from the Messenger Vineyard, located in the southern part of the Terra Rossa strip. The vineyard was planted with Chardonnay in 1993. The 2024 harvest experienced a mild to warm and dry period with lower yields, resulting in optimal ripeness and concentration. The wine displays clear varietal expression with depth of fruit flavors and a firm, fresh acidity. Hand-picked grapes, whole bunch pressing, barrel maturation, and malolactic fermentation contribute to a wine with soft, lush textures, complexity, and a fresh structure.
