Baked cheese with blueberries and spices
A delicious winter dish where the creaminess of melted camembert meets the fresh, sweet flavor of blueberries and warm spices. Cut the top off the camembert, pour the sauce over it, and enjoy dipping bread or crackers!Warm spices, they not only add flavor and aroma to your creations, but also provide depth. You could call them the heart of the kitchen. In the winter months, and especially in December, we seek warmth in our dishes and reach for our spice drawer, bringing them back into our recipes.
Ingredients
200gGranulated sugar
200mlOrange juice
1Orange peel
1Star anise
270gBlueberries
2Cardamom pods
1Cinnamon stick
Camembert
Cheese crackers rosemary-raisin-pecan
Preparation
- Heat the orange juice and add the sugar. Let it melt gently.
- Add the remaining ingredients and let the mixture simmer gently until it reaches a sauce consistency.
- Tip: make sure the blueberries do not cook down completely
- Cut a lid off the camembert.
- Place the cheese in a preheated oven at 175°C until the inside is melted.
- Spoon the warm berry sauce over the melted cheese.
- Serve with bread and crackers.
