A single grain whisky made from 100% malted barley is not something you often encounter. Below you will find four unique characteristics of this new trendsetter:
Grain: 100% malted barley undergoes a long fermentation process of approximately 92 hours.
Distillery: the whisky is distilled via the continuous process in a copper Coffey Still, not the traditional Pot Still.
Maturation: only casks previously used for the bourbon industry are specially selected to achieve a sweeter, lighter character in the whisky, which is perfect for cocktails.
Finish: the maturation ends in traditionally and infrared-toasted casks, in which Spearhead is finished for six months.
