
Bao bun rendang
A stew is easy to make and gives you the opportunity to prepare other products in the meantime. While the meat is cooking, you have time for your guests.Ingredients
100mlWater
500gbeef chuck
200mlCoconut milk
Cucumber
Red chili pepper
Rice vinegar
rendang paste
Palm sugar
Bean sprouts
Oil

Preparation
- Sauté rendang paste in oil. Brown the beef chuck along with it.
- Add the coconut milk and water. Braise for 1.5 hours.
- Make atjar ketimoen by finely slicing cucumber and red chili.
- Then heat 5 parts rice vinegar with 3 parts palm sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool and marinate the vegetables in it.
- Steam the bao bun in the oven or heat in the microwave (45 seconds frozen or 30 seconds thawed), or steam in a steamer basket (10 minutes frozen, 6 minutes thawed).
- Place a handful of bean sprouts on the bun and spoon the rendang on top.
- Garnish with atjar ketimoen.
