Cured ham and watermelon salad

A perfect starter for your Valentine's menu: Ganda ham and watermelon.

Ingredients

watermelon
heart-shaped cutters small
heart-shaped cutters large
vegetable of choice
mesclun salad
Parma ham
sesame dressing
red love apple juice

Preparation

  1. Cut slices of watermelon and cut them out with the heart-shaped cutter.
  2. Place the watermelon in a suitable container that also fits in the vacuum machine.
  3. Pour a layer of red love apple juice over the watermelon until just covered.
  4. Place the container in the vacuum machine and let it run. The watermelon will soak up the liquid but remain firm.
  5. Remove the melon from the liquid. Place the large heart on a plate and set the small ones aside.
  6. Toss the salad and vegetables with the dressing and a splash of olive oil.
  7. Place the salad on the plate and tuck the small watermelon hearts in between along with the cured ham.
  8. Also place a few slices of cured ham on the large watermelon heart.
  9. Serve immediately.
