
Gratinated oysters with braised leek and herb cream cheese
When you think of Portugal, oysters may not be the first thing that comes to mind. Yet in the picturesque and historic port town of Aveiro, oysters of beautiful quality are grown. Full in the shell, with a firm bite and a creamy, slightly briny flavor.This recipe is for 12 oysters.
Ingredients
12Ostras de Aveiro
0.5Leek
1Herb cream cheese
50gGrated cheese
1knob of butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (or light the barbecue) and make sure the herbed cream cheese is at room temperature.
