
Spicy Portuguese oysters
Oysters with a spicy vinaigrette of jalapeño, onion, and acidity.Ingredients
Sea fennel
1white onion
1Lime juice
2Green jalapeño peppers
2Red jalapeño peppers
5White wine vinegar
12Gillardeau Spéciale Joséphine la Distinguée
Preparation
- Open the oysters using an oyster knife.
- Remove the seeds from the jalapeños.
- Finely chop the jalapeños and white onion.
- Squeeze a lime.
- Mix the chopped ingredients with white wine vinegar and the lime juice.
- Let this mixture marinate for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Spoon some of the spicy vinaigrette over each oyster and optionally garnish with sea fennel.
