Tater Tots

Classic from American cuisine. Especially popular at Thanksgiving, but also delicious as a potato side dish for the Christmas table.This recipe makes about 30 ‘Tater Tots’.

Ingredients

3Flat-leaf parsley
0.5Salt
2Cornstarch or flour
1Garlic powder
1Onion powder
Freshly ground black pepper
4units.itemsGrilled potatoes

Preparation

  1. Peel the potato and place in cold water (keep potatoes whole).
  2. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from the cooking liquid.
  4. Grate coarsely on a box grater.
  5. Place on a clean tea towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  6. Transfer the grated potato to a mixing bowl.
  7. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well by hand.
  8. Form into 'barrels'. Wet your hands to make this easier.
  9. Fry them at 180°C until crispy.
  10. Salt afterwards and sprinkle with some fresh parsley.
