Ice nuggets

Vanilla ice cream in the shape of a ‘chicken drumstick’ with a lemon wafer roll and coated with corn flakes.

Served in a 'bucket' and with both a sweet and salted caramel topping as a dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Vanilla ice cream
Lemon wafer rolls
Corn flakes
Yopop (optional)
Salted caramel topping

Preparation

  1. Scoop two balls of (vanilla) ice cream onto a piece of butcher's foil.
  2. Place a lemon wafer roll on top of the ice cream balls and then a small scoop of ice cream on top of that.
  3. Carefully fold the butcher's foil closed and shape the whole into a 'drumstick' shape. Then place it in the freezer.
  4. Crush corn flakes by hand to a finer texture.
  5. Optional: mix the crushed cornflakes with yopop, a crispy yogurt with popping sugar, for an extra dimension to the coating.
  6. Take the 'drumsticks' out of the freezer and roll them through the cornflake mixture so they are well coated.
  7. Place the 'drumsticks' back in the freezer.
  8. Serve in a 'bucket' with a sweet dipping sauce, such as salted caramel topping.
