French savarin babas with butter, dried for optimal processing and easy to finish to your own taste.Of course, baking babas yourself is an option, but sometimes there is no time. These savarin babas are baked in France. With butter, of course. Then they are dried, so you can prepare them entirely to your own taste.

Ingredients

5Water
Savarin babas
2Alcohol
500gFine granulated sugar
1Lemon

Preparation

  1. For the basic sugar syrup, heat the sugar, water, lemon zest and juice of 1 lemon until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Remove from the heat and add the alcohol of your choice (for example rum, limoncello or whisky).
  3. Put the babas in a preserving jar and pour the warm syrup over them.
  4. Seal, turn upside down and let cool.
  5. Serve with coffee or as a dessert with ice cream and cream.
