Lángos toastie

Crispy lángos toast with crème fraîche, melted cheese, ham, ketchup and refreshing red onion, inspired by Prague street food.

Ingredients

Grated aged cheese
1.5Olive oil
50mlWater
Crème fraîche
Ketchup
1.5Garlic paste
Ham
1Lángos
Chives
Red onion

Preparation

  1. Blend the water, garlic paste and olive oil with a hand blender. This is a basic recipe and can be used to brush several lángos.
  2. Brush the lángos with the garlic water before baking.
  3. Bake the lángos for about 5–7 minutes in an oven at 180°C.
  4. Spread the baked lángos with crème fraîche and top with grated aged cheese.
  5. Return the lángos briefly to the oven (180°C) until the cheese has melted.
  6. Top with pieces of ham, drizzle with ketchup and garnish with red onion and chives.
