Croquetas Barceloneta Style

Crispy croquetas rest on a creamy potato base with bell pepper and minced meat, served with fresh alioli cream and spicy Salsa Brava.A rich Spanish tapas creation full of depth and spiciness.

Ingredients

600gMashed potatoes
40gGround beef
100gMelted butter
1Shallot (chopped)
2Smoked paprika powder
100gRoasted pepper
1Garlic puree
Gazpacho
Pepper and salt
Smoked olive oil

Croquetas de Manchego
Croquetas de Jamón Ibérico
100gLemon aioli
200gCream cheese
Croquetas de Bacalau
Salsa Brava

Preparation

  1. Rinse the roasted bell pepper well under water and cut into thin strips.
  2. Sauté the shallot, garlic, and bell pepper in the smoked olive oil.
  3. Add the paprika powder and briefly fry.
  4. Add the minced meat and fry until crumbly.
  5. Deglaze with a splash of gazpacho.
  6. Mix the puree with the melted butter and fold in the meat sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.

  1. Fry the croquetas.
  2. Spoon the Barceloneta sauce onto the plate and place the croquetas on top.
  3. Mix the cream cheese with alioli and serve this sauce on the side.
  4. Also serve the Salsa Brava on the side.
